Seems Switzerland (16pts) has the tougher schedule meeting France (h) and Ireland (a), while France (16pts) meets the Swiss (a) and Cyprus (h). Ireland (13pts) meets Cyprus (a) and the Swiss (h) and finally Israel (15pts) has only one game left, Faroe Islands (h).

I would think Ireland needs all 6 pts from both of there remaining games and hopes for a loss by either France or the Swiss. This will be very interesting.....

I back the swiss to get thru actually, they have some good players and a great team spirit.

they will need a bit of luck but i would not say it is beyond them . They only lost against France due to the magic of mr va va voom ..... otherwise it would have been honours shared . They do need to win the last two games though and hope the others drop a few points.

It could be that Henry will be missing for France's 2 remaining WCQ's. Ireland may be getting some help already..........

Not so.......In WCQ's, nothing should be taken for granted, it may be a mismatch on paper, but the game still needs to be played on the pitch. It's that type of attitude that will get teams eliminated. England still has business to take care of, and to say they are already qualified is not only a dangerous assumption, but it's incorrect.....

before the N.Ireland game that might have been true as England had the highest points of any second placed team and that would have seen them qualify as best second placed team. Now of course that is not guaranteed and 2 wins from the final two games is vital to avoid the play offs.

you make my point, before the North Ireland game they were in position to qualify, but that doesn't mean they would. There were still 3 games to be played, we know what happened and now there are 2 remaining and they are in a predicament they thought they wouldn't be in a few weeks back. Attitude is a huge part to winning, from top to bottom, and assuming you'll win or looking past a game to the next opponents is a recipe for disaster...Nobody (country) should be jumping for joy until thier flights are booked to Germany in 2006.....

Id like to stay optimistic but I honestly dont think we'll qualify. Kerr plays the wrong system and hes much too defensive and negitive in his approach. Im still hoping we can do it with a bit of luck though
