Ajax goalkeeper Martin Stekelenburg has signed a new deal which will keep him at the Amsterdam ArenA until June 2012.

The 25-year-old, who has risen through the ranks at the club, was originally contracted until 2010 but has now agreed to extend his stay by a further two years.

Since making his senior debut in 2002, Stekelenburg has clocked up 162 appearances between the posts for Ajax, winning two Eredivisie titles and three KNVB Beker trophies.

He also has 10 caps for Holland.
