ye , and robson has pulled out aswell , so its most certinaly going to be a weaker midfield , and upfront will be weaker aswell without mcfadden , but rumour has it that george burley is going to start steven fletcher on his 21st birthday ... so with all the withdrawls this would be my team....

.....gordon.....

.....hutton..... ...mcmanus.... ......berra.... ....alexander....

....d.fletcher??... ... hartley... ....brown... ...maloney...

....s.fletcher.... ...boyd....

defence is ok , same as usual exept i would put berra in for caldwell , midfield is alot weaker , i hope burley playes the midfield i choose for the competitive side , that would be brilliant , i know maloney is down as a striker in the squad lists , but he is a better middie IMO
upfront were missing mcfadden who would take over boyds place..

the team for competitive games would be
....gordon.....

.....hutton..... ...mcmanus.... ......berra.... ....alexander....

....robson... ...ferguson... ....brown... ...maloney...

....s.fletcher.... ...mcfadden....

thats the best scotland team that any manager could pick IMO

I can see Scotland winning this without Ferguson, Robson or Christian 'bead-rattler' Dailly. Still a pretty decetn lineup deano has listed

Croatia

Pletikosa
Corluka, R. Kovac, Simunic, Pranjic
N. Kovac
Srna, Modric, Kranjcar
Olic, Petric

Niko Kovac fairly defensive role which is great as it allows Corluka and Pranjic to bomb forward, while still staying covered in defense. We scored yet?

Another long shot. Another possible keeper error, but this went into the roof. No stopping that.

Amount of fouls Scotland giving away outside thier own box says it all.

Olic almost puts it away. Should be a matter of time now, Klasnic and Budan on.

Dirty dirty Scots, that was almost like the tackle on Eduardo by Naysmith.

Really good game, Croatia dominated and should have put a few more away, but great performance.

A few tackles flying in.

i wouldn't really say croatia dominated the second half... scotland got there fair share of possesion and chances aswell , but of course croatia are going to do more with the ball look at there technical abillity compared to ours , but oh well , well deserved draw , soon well be above england in the ranks as were already a better TEAM IMO , but england have better players that just cant play at the international level....
ok.. look at this....
scotland had the hardest group.... the team that finished 4th (ukraine) would have been capable of qualififying from your group , we finished a couple of points behind france and italy , the world cup winner and runners up! whilst england were denyed euro 2008 by a decent croatia side ..(not france and italy quality) and the world class russia ... err no!
ok scotland beat france home and away in a competitive game , england lose a friendly to a weakened france side...
england with there strongest team lose home and away to croatia ... scotland draws with croatia with half there players missing....
i think that says it all.... why england are still ahead of scotland in the ranks is just beyond me... but that will all change soon Very Happy
