I sure did just didnt think was a country.
Not much to say about it RachRVP. Did different sports all week and at weekend stayed at anyones house pretty much. Being scottish everyone wanted me to stay with them. At the camp where i worked wasnt to many fat kids. Plenty spoiled kids tho. The food was terrible. Least i know why america is the fat country of the world. |

Oh, it's just a figure of speech. It's called Amish Country because all the Amish in America are in Pennsylvania. And they sort of go with their own laws. They have their own communities, their own schooling, hospitals and so forth.

I new about the schooling. Laws didnt really notice any difference. Pretty friendly people tho.

Well they have their own laws beyond the basic laws (that I follow). Only Amish people follow their rules. And yes, they are definitely a nice friendly bunch of people. It says a lot to their character and their beliefs to stay like that in a world like this.

The area i was in the houses were huge. Families seem to be huge also. Every sunday was always family gatherings.
I guess me being in a foreign country i just got in with the laws. |

Does anybody know what the situation is with visas if one of us had a police caution from 6 years ago...hypothetically speaking of course
|

If it's on your criminal record you need a visa. Doesn't matter how long ago or how small of a crime it was. If you stole a bag of chips and got charged for it and they put it on your record, you need a visa.
Also make sure you have a British passport and not a Welsh passport. If you have a Welsh one, you need a visa. If you want to make sure you qualify, call the U.S. embassy in London. There is apparently a liaison office in Cardiff as well that should be able to help you. Temple Court Cathedral Road Cardiff CF1 9HA phone: [44](0)29 2078-6633 |

How do you know these things!?!? I must live 20 mins from Cathedral road but I have no idea!? And a welsh passport!?! didn't know there was such a thing! it's true that you do learn something new every day! You are a fountain of knowledge. Hmm, criminal record? me? No no...I shall check this out for my 'friend' who didn't get charged, I specifically remember this friend not being convicted...but if she were a cat she'd used 8 of her 9 lives I believe were the words they used |
