Las Vegas isn't really beautiful. All the shining lights and such make it seem like the red light district. |

Yeah, Santa Fe might not seem it, but it's a quaint little place with a lot of history and a lot to see. For New York, yeah for 4 days, the tours would be good. I've heard some good things about that Sex and the City tour as well, although I've not personally gone there. For good music I suggest the "Jazz Club at Lincoln Center." They have some good music with some good people and a nice atmosphere. It's in the west side at around 66th and Columbus, I believe. If you're going there you should definitely give me a ring since my school is right across the street. For food, wow, it's all around the City... Whatever you want... There's China Town, Korea Town, Little Havana, Little Italy... I do highly recommend burger joint at Le Parker Meridien... it's on west 57th street. It's a little hidden... It's in the Parker Meridien Hotel. Just ask someone who works there to show you where it is. You'll get a cheese burger, fries, and soda (very good burgers) for under $10. I also recommend the milkshakes. Also, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chicken and Rice on 53rd and 6th. It's open at night and it's pretty much just a bunch of guys with a cart. As for chicken/beef/lamb with rice, salad, and pita bread. Add some white sauce and go easy on the chili sauce, and I guarantee it's one of the best things you will ever put in your mouth. The lines can grow up to 2 blocks. Then just the usual Times Square visit is good. You'll find a lot to do there. Also, away from the City, I suggest going to the Bronx Zoo and the Botanical Gardens. Very cheap to get in and always a fun experience. Plus my school is about 3 minutes away from those places so you can hit me up if you wanna. You can actually see my school from the Botanical Gardens. Hmm.. what else... AH! DO NOT buy those I heart NY shirts from Central Park. Those are rip offs. You'll wanna go to the shops in Times Square where they sell 5 shirts for $10. I'm sure you'll have a blast. It's really easy to live here once you get the subway system sorted out. |

Oh! And since you're going in September, try to book some tickets to a Yankee game. Even if you're not a baseball fan, just the atmosphere is superb. The Mets are fine too, but nothing compared to the Yankees.

How about the Sears tower? Or is that a forbidden word to New Yorkers?[/quote] We got the Empire State building, Statue of Liberty, etc. etc. We can manage not having an over-sized building as we have enough of them as it is. Trump Tower is also a good sight to see, as well as Rockefeller center. |

Haha, you and i both know that if New York had a tower taller than the Sears Tower, you would brag about it non stop. New Yorkers would never let the people of Chicago hear the end of it. But as New York doesn't, size means nothing...
Haha. New Yorkers never like to be beaten... |

It's not a bad thing.
I never like to be beaten. But if the Sears tower was situated in New York, it would be the first thing off the tongue from a New Yorker when there's a bit of banter between the people of the two cities. 'Size matters foo', and it don't get much bigger than the Sears tower. Not that you'd no about size and all, living in Chicago...little man.' That would be a familiar comment i'm sure. |
