Everton should prevail over 2 legs as I believe we are a better team than most people think.

I am even confident enough for Everton to win at Florence though wouldn't complain if we come back with a draw. We are on fire now and Yak looks unstoppable!!!! Everton for the semis!!!!!

Twisted Evil

Wrong.

As for the match, Fiorentina have dominated the first half and should have gone ahead through Vieri... Everton won't be complaining though, providing they come out stronger. Else they'll go back to England without an away goal, and perhaps behind too.

Not looking good at the moment for most of the English teams in the uefa cup. This could be bad for Everton as we all know Italian teams can defend and hold onto a lead when needed.

I think part of that has to do with the quality of side you've faced tonight. It's been your first major test.

It's not a good result the european giants, now Everton have to score 3 goals without taking one.

Bluenose you have to go to Godisson to support them. Wink

It's certainly an entertaining prospect with two on form sides. However i feel Fiorentina's good form will be enough to see them take control of the tie 2-0 and back to Goodison Park.

You dont know the lotto results do ya floody?

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Great result for the Italians though.

Its a real pity to see Everton fall flat at the first real test.

I thought they would at least scramble a draw - but unfortunately they couldnt even scramble an egg tonight.

Next Wednesday will be fun to watch though - really see what Moyes is made of.

We already know what they're made of... How much has fatty paid to get l,pool in the same position as Moyes has Everton at the moment? £30m or so is it? Very Happy

But lets not stray off topic now and get on with the topic.

I have no interest in what 'fatty' gets -

Id be more interested in what gary mc gets paid than Benitez.

But im not attacking Everton, just find it amusing they had the first real test tonight in the UEFA cup & fell flat on there faces.

But Moyes is a good manager & im sure he will orchestrate a famous win for the toffee's next week.

The match wasn't shown live over here. But based on the comments I've heard, it appears we were really crap. Waiting to watch the highlights to see how the two goals were conceded.

With the form we were in, really surprised that we couldn't even give them a good match.... Now its really looking gloomy on the euro front. 0-2 down to a good italian side, really tough situation now.

Let's pray Moyes can do a miracle at Goodison next week.....

Crying or Very sad

Fiorentina V's Everton (1st Leg)
