CL Red Cards.....Day 1 & 2..

DAY 2:
van Persie's was for a high kick....
Rooney's was for clapping in the Ref's face after getting cautioned.......
Vieira's was for his 2nd caution......

DAY 1:
Veron's for his 2nd caution......

Have seen both red cards Rooney's was just plain daft

Van Persie's challenge was nasty although I do not think he meant to hurt the player

I'll only say it once (again), I have given my opinion previously on Rooney's temperament (with no response's??), but he's is nothing more than a talented punk, Somebody needs to get hold of him and shake some common sense into him. If he doesn't get a grip on things, and if England does qualify for the '06 WC he is going to cost them big time, he'll end up getting sent off for some idiotic thing and the last thing England would need is that. He has no common sense what so ever. Every time he's fouled he's up and in the Ref's face, and the same goes for every time he commits an infraction. He's a ticking time bomb...

It was humorous today when Tommy Smyth of ESPN stated how Fergie has been able to control him, while Sven hasn't. It wasn't long after that he was sent off.....

Well, people are saying he's still young or something.

But I guess it's not about the age anymore. It's not an excuse.

i think it is something to do with this `i`m a big football star ` image that some players have these days. Since leaving Everton for Man Utd it seems the Rooney_79586.shtml'>Wayne Rooney has progressed from a promising young player into a foul mouthed , overpaid , hot tempered idiot . The sending off yesterday was just plain daft and of course he is now banned for 3 matches.

Robin Van Persie`s red card was a little harsh as he did not intend any harm and went for the ball .
