Glory Glory Man Utd
Glory Glory Man Utd
Glory Glory Man Utd
As the Reds go marching ON ON ON!!

And no I dont hate them at all. Smile

I think it is purely jealousy, and you will soon start seeing the same thing with Chelsea. People will want anyone to win other than Chelsea. If you thought United were arrogant when they dominated the domestic game, you wait and see what the Chelsea lot will be like!

yes i have to admit in my case it is just jealousy mainly , how many times did Arsenal finish second to Man Utd over the last 5 or 6 years ..too many times , and of course there is the year that United did the treble which still irritates me .. Mad Then there is Van Nistelroy , no need to explain that one . Lastly there is Sir Alex who is just plain irritating and is always chewing gum it seems . Mad

why do Spurs fans hate Arsenal , because Arsenal are more successful and they hate that .

Untrue in my case, i hate Arsenal cos my Dad ingrained it into my psyche since i was old enough to understand two syllable words that to be a Spurs fan meant you hated Arsenal. Then i grew up and saw what a bunch of tossers their players were and then they stole Campbell of us and my hatred was complete.

Now as soon as my mega-death-super-ray is ready and launched into space i can put my plan to annihilate them into action!

Mwa ha ha ha ha!

Big Jono, 'Stole Campbell from you'? I don't recall reading about him being taken at gunpoint, or drugged and led away with a bag over his head. I think he couldn't get out of there fast enough. What do you think his answer would be if he was asked if he regreted leaving? Hmmm...... Wink

If you want to direct some 'hate' for him leaving, maybe you should channel it in Sol's direction, it was his choice to do so.....

And, finally, it's only the good teams that are 'hated', Chelsea, Man. U. Arsenal......

I 'hate' the word 'hate'....... Cool

Surely you can sympathise with the Spurs fans over that. They have had years of frustration - even if you dislike them as your rivals, as fans I think they have been great and deserve for some glory back at the Lane.

And I know you wrote that to wind him up Oranje!! lol But I just wanted to say my piece on this one. Campbell made the right move for his career, Arsenal got a bargain, Spurs got nothing. You can see why they were so upset with it. Bad enough when a player leaves your team for your local rivals, but on a free must be such a blow for the fans.

lmao, It wasn't meant to be like that, I was sticking up for them. Arsenal do have one thing, they are not a likeable team. Some clubs are likeable if you know what I mean. Spurs are a sort of likeable team. Even if you dont support them, you dont dislike them. Same with Newcastle. Alot of people like Newcastle to do well, even when not supporting them. Chelsea used to be like that also with Gullit, Hughes, De Matteo, Zola etc, but Kenyon, Mourino and arrogance has caused people to dislike them more and more. Arsenal are similar. Henry is a likable guy, but I dont think many of the other players were. Viera certainly wasn't, and I would say the same about Ashley Cole. And Wingeing Wenger is awful. They have had a terrible disciplinary record over the last few seasons which also probably didnt help much, and with Pires Diving all the time and also whinging, its bound to get up peoples noses.

Arsenal and Chelsea are definately catching up with Man U for being the most hated team. Arsenal got extremely over confident after winning the season undefeated.

Disliking a team has more to do with success and winning than it's personal players. The more a team wins, the more exposure they recieve, the more people get sick of seeing them. If a team continues to win, than people get sick of them winning all the time.

I like the way you (O'Dogg) spend so much time pointing out all thats to dislike about Arsenal. It speaks volumes of my above statements. Keep giving them your attention, we as fans really do enjoy it... Very Happy

not meant to be an insult.....I'm sure the Chelsea supporters as well as the Man U. supporters love to read when others spend time writing about there teams, instead of spending time writing about there own...I think it's just a fact.....Success breeds dislike, thus all the 'opinions' start to flow freely....that's what it's all about....

Which is why there will be less and less said about Arsenal from this point forward. My point is, that Arsenal have never really been a liked team, even when they were not so successful. Boring Boring Arsenal it was at one time. Newcastle were liked, even when quite successful. The problem with Arsenal was the things I pointed out above, and it is purely from observing what is going on - same with Chelsea. I dont think it all comes down to success. Maybe the arrogance that comes with success. Mourino is obviously a very arrogant person, but when Wenger was coming out stating his team will not get beaten, and making excuses when they did get beaten - people didnt like it. They did not lose with grace - however I do admit that it has improved recently, along with their disciplinary record. Man Utd fans were seen as arrogant, and from what we have seen lately from some of the so called fans I would agree. Its not only Arsenal. We are guilty of the same things. Real Madrid have always been a pleasure to watch, even when successful, and were not disliked or hated really. My above statement was not an attack directly on Arsenal, I was just stating that they have never been a likeable team for anyone who doesnt support them. I remember the FA Cup and Coca Cola cup games, where anyone who didnt support Arsenal, wanted Sheff Wed to win, even though they were not supporters. Im stating all this as it is not all Anyone but United as it used to be. The tides are turning.

For the most part I will wholeheartedly agree with you, but I think you will find that there are a number of people out there who dislike Real, and it is because of there success and having the monies to purchase whom ever. There are many who delight in seeing them struggle, and it does come down to success on there part....... Smile

I know you shouldn't really hate a team, but Man U do have arrogant fans and always have as far back as I can remember. I was on a bus from Manchester centre to Old Trafford when I was a kid, and Man U fans were talking about beating us 5 or 6-1. There were no grounds for that - we'd not long beaten them at home, and game ended in a draw.
And they were no different when they went down a division.
