Winger Smith to leave Wednesday

Winger Paul Smith will leave Sheffield Wednesday in the summer after being told he will not be offered a new deal.
The ex-Burnley and Hartlepool player, 29, has made just 31 appearances for the Owls since joining in June 2003.

He will have knee surgery in the summer and will have his treatment completed by Wednesday before finding a new club.

Meanwhile, Owls boss Paul Sturrock may follow up his interest in Leeds United striker Barry Corr, who has impressed for Wednesday's reserves.
