It appears that it will be Sol Campbell who will be missing out on Saturday from Sven's thoughts!

hmmm...Sol Campbell just came back from injury...
John Terry - Rio Ferdinand would be better i think.

hope Rio Ferdinand can concerntrate on the pitch though....
worrying about his form lately.

if they both show the best, our defense will be really solid.

sven wouldnt know his best side if someone gave him a peice of paper with `best side` written on it . How can he leave Sol Campbell out and keep Rio Ferdinand in . Confused Apparently he has said , and i quote

"Ferdinand should play because he can bring the ball out of defence and give it to England's midfield to do damage. He is best suited to England's requirements," he said.
"Campbell has done well since returning to the Arsenal side but I would not bring him back and leave Rio out."

So does he mean to say Sol Campbell is unable to do that , on current form Rio Ferdinand is more likely to give the ball to Austria`s midfield. Shocked

He is playing carragher, out at left back!

This time last year we would have been talking about whether Terry was going to get the chance he deserved in the England squad but how could he with the two great defenders we got?

Now we're talking about whos gonna partner Terry, out of those two!!

I remeber him as a young lad in the Chelsea youth team when my mate was keeper Danny Potter - now at Canvery Island!

He was mammouth!

It should be Terry and Campbell......Rio was the cause (directly/indirectly) of Fulham getting there 2 goals....England cannot afford any slip-ups in the back, especially in the back. Terry being chosen shouldn't even be questioned, and Campbell has returned to form, and in his short time back has scored 2 goals...Could England use some goals? Doesn't matter who they come from........

If Terry and Campbell shine, which they should do, it could be very hard for Rio to make his way back into the team.

Terry and Campbell have the potential to be the star partnership of the 2006 WC
