Not that surprised its happened but wonder who will now play right wing. Possibly Barton with Gosling in centre midfield?

We are paper thin to start with,probably no replacement,and now A.P. says Bartons contract negotiations arn't going well,and we probably won't be able to keep him,seems about right for us these days,good news about John Carver though.

Would like to think a replacement is on the way in..................we have been linked with SWP from Citeh.

Two weeks and counting before the window closes again and we are stuck with what we have. Who in their right minds would be a Toon fan?!

We are also linked to Stephen Ireland who seems to have struggled at Villa although when he played for Citeh he looked the business.

The links with Ireland have also dryed up. Plenty of chat about his attitude and need for money among other things, all of which lead fans to believe he is bad news so steer well clear. May explain why he is so out of favour at the moment also. Doesn't stop him being a good player, as Barton has proved, but not sure I would want a Joey mk 2 at the club.

We certainly could do with a few more players now Smith is probably out for rest of season.
