Money vents frustration
Frustrated Walsall manager Richard Money has warned that he will consider his future with the club at the end of the season after complaining about the lack of atmosphere created by fans as the team slumped to a second home defeat in four days.
With tough away games to follow at Nottingham Forest tomorrow and Leeds United a week on Saturday the promotion play-off dream seems to be fading, and the sale of star defenders Scott Dann and Daniel Fox to Coventry City for s1.5 million is beginning to bite.
Four goals were conceded in back-to-back Banks's Stadium defeats by Northampton and Brighton, and although the Saddlers are still fifth in the League One table, they are clearly wobbling.
After the somewhat unfortunate 2-1 loss to Brighton on Tuesday, Money likened the atmosphere at the stadium on a wet and windy night to a morgue, and added: "We had five shots in he first ten minutes, and not a word from the crowd.
I want to be manager of a team where there is an atmosphere. I have been here nearly two seasons in which we have played 82 games, and you can count on one hand in that period when the players have not performed.
