Ricky Hatton's homecoming fight in Manchester will be live on Sky Box Office.

The Hitman will fight at the City of Manchester Stadium - home of his beloved Manchester City - on the evening of Saturday, May 24.

It will be his first fight in Manchester since his win over undisputed world light-welterweight champion Kostya Tszyu almost three years ago, in front of a sell-out crowd at the MEN Arena.

Now, following his high-profile fight against pound-for-pound Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas, he will return to light-welterweight where is he is expected to face Juan Lazcano.

Amazing

Speaking about the fight, staged in front of his home fans, Hatton said: "There's nothing like fighting at home.

"I'm back in Manchester, in front of my fans and at a ground that I love. Las Vegas has been a second home and it was amazing having so many Brits out there.

"But in Manchester even more can come to see me at a decent time of the night. This will not be a two o'clock in the morning fight - this will be timed for the fans in the stadium and those watching on Sky.

"I can't wait to fight in front of my home crowd again - it's going to be a great night."

As ever, you can follow the build-up to the big fight right here on skysports.com, with daily news, interviews and expert views from the likes of Jim Watt, Johnny Nelson, Glenn McCrory and Nicky Piper.

And as the fight draws closer we will bring you all the information on how to book the fight on Sky Box Office and make sure you are tuned in when the Hitman comes home.

Sky Sports has followed Ricky Hatton from the moment he turned professional in 1997 and has shown many of his defining fights live including his British title victory, the defeat of Tszyu for the IBF world title, his win over Luis Collazo which made him a two-weight world champion, and his biggest fight to date, the blockbuster against Mayweather.

Hatton was back to his best again tonight,he looked tense and nervous before the fight but that was understandable after coming back from a defeat,he looked sharp and his stamina was superb too..

Lazcano is a solid fighter who has amazing courage so hats off to him too

Now bring on cocky Malignaggi

Juan Lazcano isn't a poor of a boxer. If you watched tonight you would have seen how tuff he is and how can pack a punch himself. Of course it is a step down from Mayweather but what else was it gonna be. Mayweather is the best in the world, only one way to go. Hatton wasn't his best tonight and showed little weaknesses but he was still pretty damn good!
He is only 29 and to say he is finished is a load of rubbish. He could have picked a much weaker fighter then Lazcano. Did you see the interview with Oscar de la Hoya?
To say he can't compete with the best is a bit of a crap comment. How do you mean 'the best', is that just Mayweather? How many people have been able to compete with Mayweather in the past? not many. Some people have called Mayweather the best ever! and yes he beat Hatton, so what. One loss doesn't make someone finished. He wasn't even at his best weight for that fight.

Well done Ricky Hatton.
Good comeback fight - now he has to build on this.
The win was expected though. Lazcano isn't up there with the best - this was a clever choice of fight, and was made to make Hatton look good. Lazcano is a good fighter, but did anyone really think Hatton would have been beaten by him?

I agree with Gaz - Paul Malignaggi will be next up. I expect Hatton to win that fight also.

Hatton will surely now fight Malignaggi,it will be a tough fight as Malignaggi is very quick and has a great chin but i see Hatton being way too powerful for him and wearing him down, then hopefully a rematch with Mayweather or a big showdown with De La Hoya before he hangs up his gloves

Would be crazy to go for a rematch with Mayweather. He would lose 100 out of 100 fights with Mayweather in my opinion. He is a million miles away from him.

I believe the next fight will be Malignaggi - and also believe he will win it.

Yeah, his next figtht will be Malignaggi. I was looking forward to watching Malignaggi but he wasn't at his best. Hatton will beat him but he needs some work on his defense. The fast hands of Malignaggi could easily catch him out. The only thing is Malignaggi looks to have very weak hands so Hatton shouldnt get KO'd. Should be a good fight though.

Hatton couldn't beat Mayweather, but who could?

I agree he shouldn't fight Mayweather again,i was just going on what i've heard really,Hatton should stay at his usual weight and clean up and then fight De La Hoya after Malignaggi

Malignaggi will be too quick for Hatton like Jac says, but Malignaggi has only recorded 5 KO's in 26 fights so Hatton can afford to walk through his punches and deliver those crushing body blows which will blow malignaggi away, but he also took a superb Miguel Cotto all the way and only lost on points so his chin is solid too..

Should be a good fight with two different styles clashing

De La Hoya is getting on,you're right, but as far as i know he has a rematch with Mayweather coming up around September,so there's every chance he could fight Hatton next year,De La Hoya is still a top class fighter no matter how old he is,he'd give Hatton a really tough fight with every chance of beating him too
