Eric Abidal liver transplant

After recovering from a liver tumour being removed last year its been announced that Eric Abidal will have to have a liver transplant in the coming weeks, the club havent given a time period he will be out.
Any comments?

Good luck, Abi!!!

I think this player is strong( he has shown last year when he has been starting fight with his cancer). I hope that Eric will come back to play football in Barca but it isn't the most important, the most important is that Abi will be healthy and everything will be ok with transplanting.

Eric - fans remember about You, am I right guys?

Abidal went under the knife tonight as Barca won against Getafe. The crowd applauded for a minute in the 22nd for him. He apparently got the liver from his cousin. Lets hope all goes well tonight for him. #animsabidal

From what I hear in Spain he is a lovely man and I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Abidal and his cousin Gerard (the donor) are recovering from surgery last night which finished around midnight. Lets hope all goes well from now for both. #animsabidal

Abidal has been released from hospital so hopefully hes on the mend. He will have to have checkups quite frequently.

Abidal has had to go back to hospital and will be staying a few days, allgedly this is all routine.
His doctor has also come out and said he will be able to play football again, he has lost a bit of weight which is normal but he will have to get his strength back if he is to play again.

Abidal has returned to training.
Great news for Barca, especially given how desperate we are for a CB.

Its good news to hear that his recovery has gone well and that he is back in training.

Abidal has been given the green light to resume training with the first team. Great news and itll be good to hopefully see him back before the season is out.

I saw that picture of the place when he spent time recovering, northern Spain right? Seem a beautiful place. Great to see hes back, twice now, so quick, which is amazing, good luck to him and Tito!

Abidal has been given the green light to play again and could make an appearance against Sevilla at the Camp Nou on Sat.
Finally some good news concerning the club. Very Happy

Lots of reports and comments lately that Barca's problems atm are from Alba becos he is too attacking. And that Barca missed the solidity of Abidal.... good luck Abidal, I hope u stay well!
