Borussia Moenchengladbach are to sign the young Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka from FC Basel for a fee thought to be 8.5 million Euros.

A week ago Hamburg signed 24 year old Artjoms Rudnevs from Latvian side Lech Poznan on a 4 year deal for approx €3.5m.
Only the week previous it was rumoured that Celtic offered £3m for his services.

Bayern Munich have signed a 31 year old goalkeeper, Tom Starke, from Hoffenheim. At his age I can only see him ever being either on the bench or in the reserves.

Peruvian Claudio Pizarro,the Bundesliga's leading all time foreign scorer has returned back to Bayern Munich on a 1 year deal.

Any comments?!

I always thought he just scored goals for fun. He is a prolific score of goals and he'll be an asset for Bayern.

Wolfsburg have agreed a deal to sign the Dutch striker Bas Dost who was the top scorer in Holland this season with 32 goals.

I have been following the Bundesliga for a few years now and as a Red I am very pleased that we are signing him. There is some cynicism regarding shirt sales but I can't disagree with it. It's a match made in heaven, I just hope the footballing side of the deal lives up to the billing.

Werder Bremen have completed the signing of Juventus winger Eljero Elia.

Mean while Bayern Munich have denied making a bid of 10 million Euros for Italian play maker Andrea Pirlo.

Chelsea failed with a bid of £16million for Germany forward Andre Schurrle which was rejected by Bayer Leverkusen.

Sporting Lisbon have signed left back Danijel Pranjic from Bayern Munich on a 3 year deal.

Peru striker Paolo Guerrero has left Hamburg after 6 years to join the Corinthians club in Brazil.

Meanwhile the Brazilian defender Naldo has left Werder Bremen after 7 years and joined Wolfsburg.

Diego who was on loan at Atletico Madrid last season is back with Wolfsburg after having made up with Felix Magath.
