Atletico Madrid are to sign Turkish midfielder Emre Belozoglu from Fenerbahce on a free transfer.

He will become Los Indios second signing of the summer after we agreed a deal with Porto for their Uruguayan forward Cristian Rodriguez.

It's interesting how Atletico Madrid have been looking at Turkey for the last few season for their transfer market. They have also been linked with Burak Yilmaz who has scores 33 or something goals alone in the league, 40+ including cups and competitions. They have also been trying to get Selcuk Sahin from Galatasaray who has been chosen Turkey's player of the season and compared to Xavi by many people. So I think the Turkish league is an interesting league with many qualities.
Smile

Great signing and his link up play with Iniesta and Pedro already shows promise. Another La Masia student returns. Very Happy

More smart business from them.

Given their appalling finances and need to constantly sell their best players I think Valencia have worked miracles in the transfer market over the past few years. They seem to be able maintain a steady supply of relatively cheap signings to keep them competitive.

Something genuinely big spending teams like Atletico Madrid should learn from - they have wasted shocking amounts of money on poor signings in recent years!

Yes I meant Salvio!

I was also very disappointed that we had to sell Alvaro Dominguez to the German side Gladbach. Sad

Hopefully Diego Simeone will have a bit of money to bring in one or two more defenders before the season starts.
