Real Madrid smashed all sorts of records last season as
they went on to win La Liga for the 32nd time in their history.

Jose Mourinho's side earned 100 points and scored an impressive 121 goals.
Los Blancos also had a goal difference of +89 and won 16 games away from home.

Barcelona also had an impressive season earning 91 points and scoring 114 league goals.
The Catalans won the Copa Del Rey against Bilbao and had the top scorer in Lionel Messi who scored 50 times.
Pep Guardiola retired at the end of last season to take a break and Tito Vilanova has taken over as manager.

Who will win win La Liga this season? 2012/13 - Will it be Real Madrid's title again or is Barcelona going to triumph this year?

Barcelona's winning run was brought to an end last week when
Real Madrid drew 2-2 at the Nou Camp in El Gran Clasico in a game that was dominated by Ronaldo and Messi.

Tito Vilanova has got off to an excellent start as Barca's new coach even though the Catalans haven't always played well.
They have also had to deal with injuries in defence and have often had to play midfielders Mascherano and Song back there.

Los Blancos have got off to their worst league start for something like 11 seasons and are already 8 points behind the leaders.
There are rumours of trouble in the dressing room with Ramos being dropped and Jose Mourinho unhappy with Madrid's Spanish players.

One team from the Capital who are flying at the moment though is Atletico Madrid under Argentine manager Diego Simeone.
Los Indios have been on a record run and in Columbian striker Falcao have a forward who can match the exploits of Messi and Ronaldo.

Even though RM drew 2-2 at Barca last week is the title race still over or could Mourinho's side get back in contention again?
Could Atletico Madrid have a say in who will win La Liga this year by giving the big 2 in Spain a serious run for their money?

Not sure Atleti have enough to actually win the league but its great to see them up there, they haven't since they played Real last season.
That said neither Madrid or Barca will relish playing them this season and it will certainly mean they will have a big say this season.

Barcelona are 11 points ahead now of Atletico and a massive 15 above eternal rivals Real Madrid!

Having won 19 out of 21 La Liga games will Tito Vilanova's side go on to break all the records in Spain this season?
