Sun 19/08/12
Athletic Club 3 - 5 Real Betis
Real Madrid 1 - 1 Valencia

What an incredible match at San Mames!

Real Betis went into a 3-0 lead but Athletic Bilbao fought back to tie 3-3 only to concede twice more in the last 10 minutes!

Valencia can feel hard done by as Soldado looked to have won the game 2-1 but his goal was ruled out as being offside.

Real Madrid took an early lead on 10 minutes through Higuain only for Jonas to head in for the away side just before the break.

The Israeli and former Maccabi Haifa striker Tomer Hemed scored twice for Mallorca. He also scored the Israeli national team only goal in our draw against Hungary a few days ago. What a great season opening for him!

Pepe after his crash with Iker Casillas in the game against Valencia: "My name is Pablo. What am I doing here?"

Yes. It was his answer for a doctor's question on the pitch. Then he was taken to the hospital, but he left it himself after 15 hours.

Aouate is also a former Maccabi Haifa fan. He was our GK 10 years ago when we crushed () ManU 3-0 in the CL back in 2002-2003.
I followed Mallorca's results last year and will do the same this year. They are my team in Spain.
