Sunderland new boy Steven Fletcher scored twice on his debut to earn a point at high flying Swansea ..the 2-2 draw gave Sunderland only their second point of the season and manager MartIn O`Neill was happy enough with the result .."it was a top point for us "

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is still looking for his first win as he saw Arsenal come to Anfield and leave with all 3 points as his side lost 2-0 ...it was a desperately poor Liverpool performance according to BBC chief football writer Phil McNulty ...some may disagree as Liverpool did have some chances ..but goals are what counts and 62 shots on goal in 3 matches dont normally mean just 1 pt from those 3 games ..manager Brendan Rodgers was frustrated after the game ." i thought we had some really good moments" .

I'm not convinced by Liverpool at all so far this season and think Sunderland will have enough to take all 3 points.

Sunderland 2-0 Liverpool

Did you know that In October 2009, Sunderland won this match thanks to a Darren Bent goal which infamously deflected off a beach ball past Pepe Reina.

Any comments or predictions?

of course ..the infamous beach ball incident ... one of my colleagues at work will be at Sunderland for this match , he will be hoping for a home win considering the form of Liverpool so far this season ...ihe will be in a foul mood on monday should they win at the Stadium of Light .

No surprise that we have been awful to watch yet again...Suarez has hit the floor more times than he has hit the target again...we still cant score and are currently 1-0 down so i can't see any way back..

Result

Sat 15th September

Sunderland 1-1 Liverpool
1-0 S. Fletcher 29'
1-1 L. Suárez 71'

Any comments on todays result?

It sounds like Liverpool deserved the draw today and that Sterling was their best player.

Sterling has been a revelation...and to think we almost lost him under Kenny b/c he didn't get any game time...

Gerrard has just been shocking as of late...I starting to think his injury last season has taken more than expected out of him and he hasn't really been himself...since early last season if that's even a decent comparison.

Boy I sorta still wish we had Kuyt...inconsistent with goals but he tended to score when we thought all was lost...

He does go down very easily but i thought that was a penalty if it was any other forward it would have been given.....

If he didn't dive so often though and had a good reputation most referee's would have given it but he is his own worst enemy.

I know what your saying but ashley young is a diving b@stard and still manages to get penalty's not to mention other players who have done it on a consistent basis throughout their career but still get the benefit of the doubt...

I may be biased but suarez is getting hounded by these referee's i know he is no angel but the odd decision for him would not kill them...

Yeah but most of Young's penalties have come at Old Trafford and we all know how easy it is for referees to be influenced there, just look at yesterdays game v Wigan.

much has been made of Liverpool's inability to finish their chances but i heard a stat the other day which claimed Liverpool have only had 5 clean sheets in the whole of 2012 - is that right?

winning games becomes a whole lot harder when you're leaking goals - especially when it is the first goal of the game.

any views Liverpool fans?
