Sunderland could not do much about Man City as they lost 3-0 to the Premier League Champions , manager Martin O`Neill agreed and said after the match ..."Man City deserved to win the game".

Newcastle suffered a home defeat against Man Utd , the 3-0 loss was their first home defeat in the league this season , manager Alan Pardew will hope his side can bounce back with a good result against Sunderland .

I don't think Sunderland have a good record in the North East derby against Newcastle in the last few years but going to go for a draw.

Sunderland 1-1 Newcastle

This match has got draw written all over it, based on form.
I would guess that it will be a very exciting draw.

Danny Rose starts for the Black Cats despite the tough week he had in Serbia.

Alan Pardew has decided to go with Ba and Ameobi upfront who has a good scoring record against Sunderland.

Going for a 2-2 draw in this one, but could easily be 3-3.

Sunderland have a good forward line and midfield, but I don't think their defence is upto much. Newcastle have the much better team here.

HT

Sunderland 0-1 Newcastle

Cabaye put the Toon 1-0 up after just 3 minutes but then
Tiote suffered a moment of madness and kicked Fletcher and was sent off.
