West Ham were unlucky to lose their last game 1-0 away at Reading.
The Hammers have now been beaten in 3 of their last 4 and slipping down towards the relegation zone.

Norwich lost their last game 4-3 to Man City in a thriller at Carrow Road.
Chris Hughton's side have also been on a bit of a poor run recently but have still done very well overall this season.

Any comments or predictions?

Have just read that Kevin Nolan will be suspended for this game so not sure how our team will line up.
Andy Carroll should be back in 2 weeks time!

one thing is for sure ...West Ham will not end up being relegated ....they are far too good to go down , just having a bad run at the moment .

I hope you're right Conner. I just don't know why after such a great start we are now pretty useless.

I know that we had a really tough set of fixtures recently and also a lot of our players have been out injured but still..

What we need is a win against Norwich on new years day to get us back on track, I don't care how but its now vital!

James Collins is also out suspended for this one so at least we don't have to worry about him doing any passes back to our keeper today!

A bore draw. West Ham are in sh!t form and they also have Nolan out and Holt is injured for Norwich.

0-0 is my guess....

In fact, I've just placed a bet on this bad boy at 10-1 to be 0-0.

Somehow I did a duplicate and have placed the bet twice.... spanner.

West Ham must be commended for their canny buying in the transfer period. Mark Clattenburg was an excellent choice.

Its now 2-1 to West Ham and were into injury time Smile

Surely the Yellows are not going to score again in time added on?

FT

West Ham 2-1 Norwich
1-0 Noble 3’ (pen.)
2-0 O'Brien 26'
2-1 Martin 90’

I'll comment on the game latter on tonight after I have seen the highlights.

I'm delighted that we have managed to pick up 3 points today without Collins and Nolan in our side also. Very Happy

I don't care if we were awarded a soft penalty or if we scored when one of their players was injured.

It was about time that we had some bad referee decisions go our way this season and unfortunately Norwich were the ones who suffered today.

another controversial decision ...it happens to every team at some stage of the season though ...Norwich this time , West Ham have benefited this time ...that win was much needed for them .

Having seen the highlights I thought West Ham were deserved winners and just what was needed to get us back on track.

We dominated the first half and when we were 2-0 up Carlton Cole missed an almost open goal Laughing

Norwich came back well at the start of the 2nd period and could maybe have had a penalty when Tomkins made contact with Kane.

I thought our penalty was justified as Reid was being held back by the Yellow defender who maybe had been watching Stoke recently.

With regards to our 2nd goal we were in our right to continue playing as the referee didn't stop play and Tetty wasn't badly injured.

Our right back Guy Demel was excellent who we may now lose to the African nations cup if he is called up by Ivory Coast.

Mark Noble also put in another great shift and should be considered for England if the likes of Leon Osman at Everton are being considered.

crucial win after a dismal run of results and we were dominant for about 87 minutes of the match. easily the better team and it is a disappointment that we only scored twice.

we played some very tidy football and looked good which was very good to see after what could have been a morale busting run of games.

we now need to look for a few new faces in the transfer window and start 2013 as though it is a new season as we've been slightly sucked back into the fringes of a potential relegation battle.
