Newcastle grabbed a point in a 0-0 draw at Norwich ....it was a good point earned really after the recent run of results had seen the Magpies slide down the table and end up just outside the bottom three ...manager Alan Pardew said after the match.."It was a more favourable result for us than for Norwich as they were the home side. It was two teams that worked hard and restricted the opposition. "For us it was important to get a clean sheet. We worked hard in the week and it showed."

Reading staged a remarkable comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against West Brom and send the home fans totally gaga...the man they can thank is Pavel Pogrebnyak who scored the winner in the 90th minute ....a very happy Brain McDermott said after the match "That was a big three points today, I thought the character and resilience of our players was excellent. "We were a little bit flat in the first half, they hit the bar and the post, but we stayed in the game and showed quality when we needed to."

Did you know that Reading have lost all seven away matches against Newcastle in all competitions, conceding at least three goals in each of their last six visits.

Any comments or predictions?

A scrappy affair, with the Marvellous Magpies taking the 3 points, winning 2-1.

Yohan Cabaye makes a welcome return to the 1st team following his injury while Shola Ameobi also starts upfront alongside Papiss Cisse.

Hopefully that's 3 points for us, and some more millions on Cabaye's eventual fee.

If Aston Villa win away at WBA this evening Newcastle will find themselves in the relegation zone.

Newcastle are dropping very quickly and i could almost hear the lump in Mike Ashley's throat when he thought of the huge contract he gave Pardew Laughing

We are having an appalling season at the moment, but remember, we have to actually get relegated for all our many many many detractors to have something to celebrate in May, almost getting relegated won't count.
