Who were happier - Liverpool fans in 2005, after winning the Champions League in tremendously dramatic fashion, or Man City fans in 2012, after winning the Premier League in tremendously dramatic fashion?

(not about which was most dramatic, but about whose fans were happier).

I think it was Liverpool fans.

What do you think?

(I'm not providing an 'equally happy' option, since I think the chances of them being totally and utterly exactly equally happy are really tiny).

I'd say Liverpool fans because i think beating the best team in the world (at the time) after going down 3-0 is a bit better than beating QPR with 10 men on the pitch Very Happy

I think the Liverpool win was a little less likely to have happened, considering poor league form, almost falling out of the group stages, and a tough road to the final. The final... well... that's pretty self explanatory.

City had the resources in place for a title run and were fully expecting to be thereabouts.

So probably with a little bias, I'd say Liverpool.

Thank you Davey and mrtz.
I couldn't agree more - Liverpool's win meant more partly because it was a really great achievement by the club.

Although, i wouldn't argue if a City fan said winning the title in the last 5 minutes was more meaningful, i think it's a bias/neutral situation. I would say they bought the League title though Laughing

I'm sure life-long City fans would have been elated that after decades of sorrow, they've done it. Especially at the expense of their rivals.

Yes, they would have been elated - I don't think anyone would dispute that. That is why the question was rather different.

I think the questions requires another question: Do we have as many City fans as Liverpool fans?

The answer is no.

So, I voted: I don't care, I just like voting in polls.

Of course they will vote Liverpool if we have a majority of Liverpool fans. It's very subjective.

But in a way, that's good, since they will be voting the correct answer.

Liverpool fans, me included were just as happy that United didn't win the league. Laughing

No, they will be voting in favour of the club they support.

Man City won the FA cup in 2011, so they got a trophy after so long without one. Despite this, Liverpool's was the best/most important as it's the champions league. I'm sure most would argue it's the pinnacle of any club teams career.

Club world cr@p? No.

They will be voting in favour of the club they support, but since Liverpool fans in 2005 were happier than City fans in 2012, then the answer will indeed be the correct one.

You don't have to take it seriously if you don't want to, but some of us know that happiness is very important. Everything else is secondary for a football fan.

So-far Liverpool fans are leading 3-0. But as we all know, 3-0 isn't the same as being home and dry. Wink
Keep voting in this very important poll.
