Everton v Wigan

Man City v Barnsley

Man Utd v Chelsea

Millwall v Blackburn

Ties to be played on 9th/10th March

We could be on for a Man Utd v Chelsea quarter final if both sides win their ties!

Yes, lets face it, the tie we all want to see Man U vs Chelsea. I was in Barnsley tonight, and as much as I'd be doing a jig of delight if they beat City it ain't going to happen. They were ruthless against Leeds tonight, and I don't expect them to show Barnsley any mercy. The Smoggies will give Chelsea a game, but away from home is a tall order. Millwall and Blackburn will go all the way to pens, and after beating Oldham, the Toffees will beat Wigan. The Spurs prophet has spoken!

Unlucky Smoggies, getting anything in that game was never likely especially with the duff recent form, even Rafa couldn't blow it! As a signed up member of ABC I saw c'mon the Mancs!

Here is the schedule then for the quarter finals.

Sat 09/03/13 Everton 12 : 45 Wigan Athletic
Sat 09/03/13 Manchester City 17 : 30 Barnsley

Sun 10/03/13 Millwall 14 : 00 Blackburn Rovers
Sun 10/03/13 Manchester United 16 : 30 Chelsea

I would love to see Everton win the FA and think it would be great if David Moyes could be rewarded with a trophy.

I will be backing Chelsea to beat the Mancs ,I also believe Benitez will take great personal satisfaction in ending the Mancs hopes of a double

Recently amended due to Mourinho bringing an untimely end to Fergusons ridiculous boasting that his team could seriously emulate the team of 1999 .

What a first half by Wigan!

The Latics scored 3 times in just 4 minutes!

This is the worst I've seen Everton play for many years.

Many Toffees fans left the ground after only 30 mins when when Wigan went 3-0 up.

David Moyes has just taken off Fellaini who was booed by the whole ground and he stormed off down the tunnel.

I won't be surprised if the Belgian moves away during the summer.

Everton 0-3 Wigan

Congrats to Wigan for reaching the FA Cup semi finals for the first time ever!

Any comments on this result?

That is one hell of a shock result.
I was hoping Everton would win it, since I think they might just have taken the title, especially if the CL clubs field Mickey Mouse teams, but never mind - congratulations to the pie men.

The Everton result was even sweeter with the fact that we have just thumped Wigan 4-0 Laughing

As for Barnsley....it was never gonna be an upset and it was always about how many City would score....the money and experience will help the Tykes and now back to the survival battle..

Sat 09/03/13 Manchester City 5 - 0 Barnsley

Carlos Tevez scored a hat trick!

It looks like being arrested on Thursday night was the driving factor behind his treble.

Congratulations to Wigan on a thoroughly merited win, albeit that is from being alongside
one of the Bitters most dismal and soulless performances of the season.

It has to be the first time the so-called "Peoples Club" have left the ground at such a
critical juncture,a couple of the lads who are staunch "Blue Noses" and season ticket
holders said the performance was that abject it virtually stank Goodison out.

Millwall will be slender favourites against Blackburn, because of home advantage.
This will be an interesting match.

I hope Millwall don't win!

Surely it can't have been forgotten how poorly they played against Man Utd in the 2004 cup final?

It was one of the most boring games in living memory.

It was always going to be - one-sided matches are always extremely boring. But whichever of these teams win, the semi-final is very possibly going to be one-sided. This match has the hallmarks of being a classic, since the teams are so even. I'm supporting Blackburn, since I'm a northerner.

Interesting that Blackburn didn't have a single shot on target during the game against Millwall.

You'd have thought after all that money they have spent on Jordan Rhodes that he or they would have done better than that.
