West Ham v Newcastle

Postby Conner99 » Tue Apr 30, 2013 8:22 pm

West Ham lost 2-1 to Man City at the Etihad ...a 90th min goal from Andy Carroll was too late to rescue the Hammers , manager Sam Allardyce spoke about his team`s lack of away goals this season .."Our goals away from home have been poor this year and we must improve on that next season."

Newcastle welcomed Liverpool to St James Park and promptly got put to the sword ...a 6-0 defeat left them and manager Alan Pardew shell shocked ...not since 1925 had St James Park witnessed such a hammering . He said after the match ..£I didn't see that coming; it is a tough blow. We lost our discipline , we are in a battle now , more so than we have been in all season." We will fight to the end. Hopefully that will be enough; I think it will."

It would be great to get 3 points in front of old Saladface.

Did you know that The Hammers have won just two of these 14 top-flight meetings with the Magpies, drawing five and losing seven.

I don't know why we have such a poor record against the Toon but I quite fancy us to beat them with Andy Carroll playing well right now.

West Ham 2-1 Newcastle.

I think we should drop Vaz Te who has been awful in his last 2 games.

Ben Arfa and Coloccini to start today for the Toon.
That is wonderful news for the Toonies, less good news for Saladface and his Cockneys :)

FT

West Ham 0-0 Newcastle

It was a frustrating afternoon for Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan who were unable to break down the Toons defence.

I didn't think that the Cisse effort in the 1st half was over the line but we were helped by the linesman falling over at the crucial moment!

West Ham are still not safe from relegation even though were now on 43 points which is just crazy!

As for Newcastle they could find themselves in the bottom 3 if Wigan win at home against Swansea on Tuesday night.

That's what happens if you will insist on hoofy as a manager.
