Neymar to join Barcelona

Postby Hams » Sun May 26, 2013 7:45 pm

Santos star Neymar has announced that he will
be signing a 5 year contract on Monday to join Barcelona.

The Spanish giants are reported to be paying £24 Million for the South American player of the year.

Any comments? - Will the Brazilian be a success in Spain?

£49 million is a lot of money!

It will be interesting to watch next season how he will play with Lionel Messi.

Its being reported that Neymar's transfer to Barcelona is to be investigated by a Spanish court.

The Catalans paid 57 millon Euros for the Brazilian but 40 million of it is alleged to have gone to
a company owned by his father and allegations of corruption have been made with Santos his old club only getting 17 million.

Any thoughts?

What a scandal at Barcelona!

Their President Sandro Rosell has now resigned and it has also
been revealed that they actually paid out 86.2 million for Neymar and NOT the 57 million Euros first reported.

Just why 40 million were paid in compensation to the players father remains a mystery.

When we were talking about signing him a couple of years ago there was talk of a deal and "deposit" which is illegal, then theres the web of owners of Neymar to contend with.
Was always going to be dodgy somewhere and ive never taken to Rosell, always thought he was sly.
Glad hes gone but there could be some serious damage done to the club if were found guilty of any wrong doing.

I tried to tell you lot years ago that Spanish football was corrupt as hell!
I told you then about the Asian gambling ring fixing matches which 2 years later came to light with a tv expose!
Now i wonder what fat fifa clown septic bladder will say about this? He "could undertand if it was happening in Africa !"
I'm sure it will go ignored and there will be no punishment from fifa whatsoever.

Forget even Barcelona for a minute, or the fact thay Real Madrid basically dotted the "i"'s and crossed the "t"'s to an even bigger offer to the player (?105m). Lets face it their tabled bid would have been just as dirty to have gotten to the formal point it did with Santos. What this just shows is not just how corrupt Football really is right now, but that Fifa needs to find a way of regulating "Agents" and the fee's allowable to them, far more than it does. You only had to look at the fiasco's with the likes of Carlos Tevez or Fernando Cavenaghi to see that some of these players are basically being whored out by their agents.
