Who will win the PL title next season - 2013/14?

With Sir Alex Ferguson no longer in charge of Man Utd,Manuel Pellegrini now in at Man City
and Jose Mourinho back at Chelsea we could be in for a very open competition unlike last season.

I agree that Chelsea will be the favourites but I just hope we have a more exciting title race than we had last season.

We have 3 votes for Chelsea to win the title at the moment.

Does anyone else think that the Manchester clubs or maybe even Arsenal have a chance?

United have a great chance. We already have a great line up and if we can get our summer transfer targets of Fabregas, Baines and Fellaini (Bale may be a bit of a stretch) then I think we will be able to retain the title. Moyes is a good manager and as long as we can get 10-12 points from the first 5 games we should be okay.

Such is the fickle world of football I have decided to change my opinion and plump
for Man City. I think they have accrued some quality additions to the squad, and
Pelligrini's reserved stance and relative silence has been deafening....Looks like he
has a bit of class about him.

Jovetic would improve exponentially any side he joined ,and imo Navas will be a
revelation in the Premiership as will the Brazilian Fernandinho, then add Negredo
to an already lethal strike force in Aguero and co and City could score for fun
this season......

Any more thoughts on who will win the title next season?

Do Man City as Redpelt has suggested above have just as good a chance after spending over £90 million this summer?

Chelski all the way I reckon. Mourinho knows he has to deliver and will get the best out of what is probably the best squad in the league. The only thing he seems to be missing is a goal scorer but I think they have enough.
Man Citeh will be their challengers as I don't see Utd being good enough and Arsenal are just Arsenal, although maybe third is realistic for them season?

As much as it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth I have to say Man City. Chelsea are powerful, and will no doubt be up there challenging but they looked beatable too often last season and haven't made that many new signings (Rooney will make a difference if he actually goes there). I think Moyes is a bit of an unknown when it comes to running a club that expects a win every game, and I'd be surprised to see him win the league first time around (it took Fergie a few years).
Right, that's the head stuff over with, I'm voting with my heart. One for the Spurs - actually quite pleased to have a Spurs box to tick (didn't think you lot would give the men from WHL even an outside chance) :D

Man Utd or Chelsea still haven't made any major signings while Man City have spent over £90 million on 4 quality players.

We still don't have any votes for Liverpool even though they are top of the league at the moment.

Arsenal are top of the table at the moment while Everton are the only side still unbeaten in the league.

Who do you think will win the title this season?

Will the Gunners get any votes in this poll? - They have beaten Spurs already so not had all easy fixtures.

It should be MANC on paper. Even when they have lost this year they often have played well enough. Kompany is back on song, YaYa and Zabaleta are worth their place. But big head Hart and Silva both gone off a bit and Aguerro only promises so much. But new manager untried in the PL, and gossip is ManC's owners want the Chumps League prioritised, the PL doesnt matter - like Chelsea ?

Arsenal : Could be them with Ozil and Ramsey key. Ex-key man Corzola having a seasons rest and that defence? Will Wilshire and Walcott stay fit and deliver ?

ManUtd : Average team last year did so well in reality only because of poor challenge from the rest of the PL. To be fair - they got the most points so won the PL. Need major rebuild - decide then. And personally always thought Moyes over rated. His Everton were too defensive with top of the league position for dirty players. Note Everton are now top of the fair play league this season says the Sun - and look how much better they are doing.

Chelsea : they can look as though they were running away with it - see that first half against Hull. But then JM decides to "manage" and it all goes haywire. Team selection mystifies everybody - Who on here would refuse Mata and Luiz in their side ? So for me it all depends how JM shapes up.

Outsiders ? Spurs - chance if others falter? Everton- if they can keep this up, sell Baines for £80m to ManU and spend cash wisely. Liverpool - perhaps the best chance outside the top 4 in MHO now that Suarez has been fitted with a gum shield for matches. The Toon with JFK in charge ? !

NAH - TOP CHOICE = Hull City - where pigs fly and have their own aerodrome

As we go into the International break Arsenal are 2 points above Liverpool in the table.

Man Utd have got themselves back into contention with 4 wins out of 5 and are now just 5 points behind the Gunners.

Just when you think Chelsea are going to go on a good run they slip up and Man City's away form is also a concern.

Who do you think now will win the title?!

Err, I may as well say Tottenham (it seems like a generation since I made that bold prediction) as there is no obvious clear front runner this season. Who wants to stick their hand up after today's results?

Team Pl W T L Pts +/-
Arsenal 22 16 3 3 51 24
Manchester City 22 16 2 4 50 38
Chelsea 22 15 4 3 49 23

It looks like we now have a 3 way fight for the title.

I would prefer Arsenal to win it rather than Man City or Chelsea who have bought their success.

Who do you want to win the Premier League or think will do so?

Mourinho's men have 6 votes in the Poll at the moment more than any other team.

Sorry its not allowed and will always be on record that you thought Man Utd still had a great chance.

I'm surprised that there aren't more votes for Man City and not even one for Arsenal in this poll so far!
