Chelsea v Hull

Postby Conner99 » Sun Aug 11, 2013 3:42 pm

Chelsea start the new season with reason to be excited ..the return of `the special one ` , Jose Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge five years after he left under a cloud of controversy in September 2007 . His aim is to put Chelea back to where they belong ...at the top of the Premier League , to help with that the signing of Wayne Rooney from deadly rivals Man Utd ...however the current Premier League champions have rejected two bids from Chelsea .

So it will be an emotional first game for `the special one` at Stamford Bridge on Saturday ....will it be a happy one .

Hull City won automatic promotion to the Premier League and manager Steve Bruce will not have a tougher match to start with , a few signings were made during the summer ..former Newcastle United goalkeeper Steve Harper , Ivory Coast striker Yannick Sagbo from French club Evian , Sunderland striker Danny Graham on a season-long loan .

Will this be enough to keep them up though .

Mourinho is back and this is a new look Chelsea. far more attacking and with more flair than ever before. they'll give Hull no mercy and should steamroller them in what will be an unwelcome first game back in the top flight for Bruce.

you know what you'll get from a Bruce side - tight defence with very little attacking intent but this will just invite Chelsea on and i don't think any other club in this division has as much talent in unlocking a defence in so many different ways.

4-0

Jose Mourinho will never have a more easy game than this to welcome him back into the Premier League!

It should be a very comfortable home win and if the 3 amigos in Oscar,Mata and Hazard are all playing expect plenty of goals.

Chelsea 5-0 Hull

Roman Abramovich writes a rare msg to Chelsea fans in the clubs programme.

FT

Chelsea 2-0 Hull
1-0 Oscar 13’
2-0 Lampard 25'

It was a very good start to the game by Chelsea who were in
complete control and even had Lampard miss a penalty.

Hull City improved in the 2nd period but didn't threaten their opponents what so ever.

Any comments on the Blues win?

Impressive link up play in the first half between Torres ,Hazard and
Oscar, but I thought the second half had the Mourinho stamp all over
it ,a routinely more defensive outlook to hold their two goal lead ,with
the onus being placed firmly on Hull to find a break through.
