Liverpool v Notts County

I expect it will be a selection of mainly fringe players ,possibly Borini and the
likes of Sterling and Ibe .....I'm personally hoping Alberto gets a run out ,as
the lad has impressed on the few occasions I've seen him play .

Hope its a good turn out at Anfield ,going with my lad and his mates .

Just got in from the game ,heads absolutely pounding ,I really thought
'here we go again' when they scored their second.I would love to know
what exactly Rodger's aversion is to substituting Gerrard ,the man was
flagging badly around 70 mins ,surely if the Kop can see it then its clear
the manager must also pick up on the signs ?

I think Jordan Ibe was guilty of believing his own hype tonight ,needed
to release the ball earlier on numerous occasions. As for Wisdom at the
back, well he was caught out way too many times than is comfortable.

Andre was culpable for both goals ,the first he got caught on the wrong
side of the striker ,and for their second he wasn't even covering his flank.

Sturridge is a godsend ,and took his brace with aplomb ,and Coutinho just
simply changes games with his graceful feet. Nice goal from Henderson
almost Gerrardesque in its conversion.

Extra Time 4-2 ,Now where's those paracetamol ?

Rodgers was right to play a strong side. If we started weaker, we'd be out by now.

Sturridge grabbed his 4th goal in 3 games. Hope he has more to come Sunday. Big game.

The game brought its share of damage though mate ,Toure starting in our back
four would have given us a real chance against the Mancs ,I dont think the fans
have ever been so positive over the outcome of a United game ,and that was
mainly due to Kolo's inclusion..... Five defenders out injured ,so Rodger's will have
to earn his money solving this particular conundrum.

Big loss mate.

Notts County did very well to come back from 2-0 down and could have had a penalty but the referee didn't give it.

The official gave absolutely nothing ,the incident above was one of many which highlighted
his obsequious reverence to the referees rule book.
