West Ham Everton

West Ham battled to a 0-0 draw with Southampton , they were a tad fortunate to leave St Mary`s with anything , they can thank Jussi Jaaskelainen for that as the 38 yr old veteran he pulled off several super saves during the match . It was an improvement of sorts after the 1-0 defeat by Stoke in their previous game ..this time the Hammers did have a shot on target , manager Sam Allardyce has said he is concerned by the lack of goals from his team ..""I think we have only conceded one goal in four games, but we just can't find the back of the net. Three games without a goal is my concern."

Everton manager Roberto Martinez enjoyed his first win of the season since taking over from David Moyes as his side beat Chelsea 1-0 at Goodison Park ...the result lifted them up to 9th in the table and Martinez said after the match "what a result and what a performance"

certain defeat here. we never beat Everton and i don't expect us to nick a goal so 0-0 is our best and only hope.

We need to drop Maiga who has offered nothing in last 3 games and start with Vaz Te upfront to see what he can offer us.

I also hope that Big Sam doesn't play Diame on the right of midfield again as it didn't work and no understanding with Demel.

The best we can hope for really is to hold out for a draw but the likes of Nolan need to raise their game and get more involved.

West Ham 0-0 Everton.

Did you know that West Ham have not scored a Premier League goal in 284 minutes.
The last time that they failed to score in four successive PL games was back in October 2006 (five games).

FT

West Ham 2-3 Everton
1-0 Morrison 31’
1-1 Baines 62’
2-1 Noble 76’ (pen.)
2-2 Baines 83'
2-3 Lukaku 85’

The Hammers were on course for victory until Noble was sent off but Baines and Lukaku turned things around to give Everton all 3 points.

They really were 2 brilliant free kicks by Leighton Baines to help Everton win this game!
The Merseysiders are now the only unbeaten side left in the PL and don't look like they will miss Fellani at all.

I was dreading the appearance of Lukaku who we failed to sign in the summer as I knew he would score against us!

Unfortunately it looks like West Ham will be fighting a long hard scrap against relegation due to the sick notes in our squad.

Is it just me or do the referees seem to have it in for the Hammers this year as all the decisions appear to be going towards the opposition at the moment.

no ..it is just you compensating for the poor performances from West Ham so far this season , they did not help themselves by giving away two free kicks right outside the box ...Baines made sure you were punished with two superb goals . I think West Ham will be safe though ...other clubs will see to that .

i thought we matched Everton throughout the match until the introduction of a player who is far too good for Everton. Lukaku spun the game on it's head and was the catalyst for what became an away win.

basically we lost because of a free kick specialist and a beast of a player who has no business playing for Everton to begin with. you can't really grumble too much with that when you loko at the overall game. a draw would certainly have been the fairer result.

both Noble's bookings were stupid. i haven't seen a replay of his second but i did think he got the ball although i don't know for sure. however, making a tackle where he did while on a yellow was moronic, especially after Baines had already just scored from the same place after COllins made a similarly moronic challenge when there was absolutely no need to dive in.

Petric gave us a far better attacking threat than Maiga has done all season and so i hope to see a bit more of him until Carroll gets back.

a disappointing result but a bit more of a positive performance.

Noble was unlucky with the second yellow , it did seem as if he got the ball ..but a tackle like that was reckless as you say and in a position where Baines had already scored a beauty from .
