Chelsea v Fulham

Postby Hams » Fri Sep 20, 2013 9:54 am

Chelsea lost their last PL fixture 1-0 away at Everton despite having over 20 chances to score.

Fulham could only draw their last game 1-1 at home with WBA who scored a late equaliser to leave some home fans very unhappy with Martin Jol

Any comments or predictions?

Did you know that Jose Mourinho has never lost a Premier League home game (W48 D14).

FT

Chelsea 2-0 Fulham
1-0 Oscar 52’
2-0 Mikel 84'

Mikel scored his first ever Premier League goal for Chelsea!

Mourinho's side had to work hard to break down Fulham who without Berbatov didn't really show much attacking threat

Any comments on todays result?

Very tough game for Chelsea today, Fulham were very disciplined for as long as long as they had the energy. BUt when you have the sort of quality Chelsea have it's only a matter of time before the energy level depletes dramatically and that's what happened in this game. Very happy fro Mikel banging in his first goal especially in light of fat assed frank coming on and doing absolutely nothing ,which basically picked up from what Schurrle did.
Anemic attack from the wing from the German , chelsea almost looked lost out there at times.
NOthing was clicking and Fulham had a lot to do with that. You wouldn't hear such credit given by the sensationalist commentators though.

Well I find it bizarre that David Luiz and Juan Mata have both been made
to pay for Chelsea's recent defeats by being left out of the squad when they weren't even the problem.

I think Mourinho needs to look closer to home and to stop selecting Schurrle who isn't good enough to
play at this level and Eto'o who doesn't even look like half the player he was when he was at his peak at Inter Milan.
