Barcelona finally lose their tiki taka crown

Postby Hams » Sun Sep 22, 2013 10:49 pm

Barcelona have had less possession in a La Liga game
for the first time since May 2008 when they lost 4-1 to Real Madrid! - A run of 317 matches.

Although little Rayo Vallecano from the Spanish capital were
beaten 4-0 by the Catalans on Saturday they finished the game with 56% possession compared to Barcelona's 46%

Could the loss of their tiki taka crown give some hope to other Spanish and European opponents in the future?

One game without majority possession obviously doesn't mean much. They've still got it ;).

I wasn't happy with that stat on Saturday. They gave away the ball easily at times but did look much better and had more than 60% possession against sociedad tonight. There are people out there who say all that matters is the result but not for barca fans who want to see them keep the ball and dominate teams with good football
