Real Madrid won the CL last season, Will the likes of Ronaldo,Bale and James be able to do it again or will Bayern or Barcelona be able to stop them?

Real Madrid v Juventus - 23rd October

Postby Hams » Sat Oct 19, 2013 3:15 pm

Real Madrid had a comfortable 4-0 win at home against Copenhagen in their last game with Ronaldo and Di Maria both scoring twice.

Juventus could only draw 2-2 with Galatasaray in their last CL fixture and were unable to deal with Drogba who scored and made an assist.

Any comments or predictions for this game between two of Europe's best sides?

Juventus have won their last three Champions League games against Real Madrid.
Their only win at the Santiago Bernabeu came in November 2008 (2-0 in the group stages).

I want to try and encourage some European fans to join our forum so were not only British etc.

There is a match day 3 topic for all the other games this week.

HT

Real Madrid 2-1 Juventus

Ronaldo 4' 28’ (pen.)

That was really crazy defending by Chiellini who gave away the penalty by dragging down Ramos in the box!

Its about time that the extra officials behind the goal got more involved in these sort of incidents during games.

FT

Real Madrid 2-1 Juventus
1-0 Ronaldo 4’
1-1 Llorente 22’
2-1 Ronaldo 28’ (pen.)

The night got worse for Chiellini who was sent off with a straight red for brushing his arm across Ronaldo's face who really made a meal of the incident.

Does anybody else think that was harsh?

There was also a rather bizarre dive from Vidal for a penalty when he kicked the pitch and went down insisting it should be a spot kick.

That was one of the most embarrassing moments I've seen this year!!

When Juventus went down to 10 men Real Madrid were just unable to make the extra man pay advantage and if anything the Italians went on to play better.
