Sunderland lost their first game under new head coach Gus Poyet 4-0 away at Swansea.

Newcastle drew their last match 2-2 at home with Liverpool despite going down to 10 men.

The Pope has been pictured holding up a Sunderland shirt! I'm not sure if even gods help will save the Black Cats from going down!

Is there some sort of Derby tradition that both teams wear their home kit. it's hard to tell them apart. It must be tricky for the players at times especially when there using peripheral vision to know where teammates are.
