FA Level 1 Coach

Postby Seanaz » Mon Nov 18, 2013 1:51 pm

Hi there :)

I am interested in dong private coaching lessons but I am not sure what rules and regulations I need to follow to coach little kids basic ball skills.

I thought taking the FA level 1 course is a good start but it seems like a long expensive procedure. Do I really need to go through all of this just to coach kids under 10 years of age in a local park near me? Will I also have to do a First Aid course and what else will I need? Could anyone please help me with my first steps to becoming a football coach

Hi Sean

I coach alot during the evenings and i wouldnt be able to without level 1 badge it gives you a great insight into coaching, level 1 also comes with safeguarding children and first aid, These are also very important.

If your very serious about coaching id take the level 1

Cheers Simon

The FA level one and future courses are very expensive now. I think the later ones are more in depth. But it takes forever to get to that stage of coaching.
