Southampton v Man City

Postby Conner99 » Thu Dec 05, 2013 5:43 pm

Southampton ..perhaps surprisingly were beaten 3-2 by Aston Villa at St Mary's , despite having 21 shots on goal the Saints` could only hit the back of the net twice and were undone by the only 3 shots Villa had on target , manager Mauricio Pochettino aid after the match "It is a difficult result to take because the team put in a great effort and did very well."It's the type of game you lose maybe once in 1,000, but tonight we lost it."We were made to pay for some bad defending. They created four chances and scored three goals, whereas we created 21 chances and scored twice."We were unlucky, but we also made mistakes."

Man City won 3-2 against West Brom but yet again late goals conceded will be a worry for manager Manuel Pellegrini , he commented on it after the match ..""In the last few minutes, maybe all of us, including me, were thinking of the next match on Saturday. That is when they scored their two goals."

The Saints were going so well before but have now lost 3 in a row and I'm sure that Man City will win to make it 4 defeats.

Southampton 1-3 Man City

As ever, I'm prepared to go against the flow and say 1-1. The Saints will find their home form again, the Mancs will falter away from home again, draw nailed on.

I will go for a 2-1 win for Southampton , a last minute winner sending Manuel Pellegrini running up and down the touchline in despair.

FT

Southampton 1-1 Man City
0-1 Aguero 10'
1-1 Osvaldo 42'

Any comments on todays result?

Was a draw a fair one in the end or were the Saints the better side?

Why are Man City still struggling away from home?

+ 1

I think the Saints deserved to get a draw in this game and I was also really impressed with their full backs attacking play.

You got that right mate! Flipping hell, terrific goal!
We've seen some carckers this week and Suarez got about 3 of them.
