Fulham V Liverpool

Postby Conner99 » Tue Feb 11, 2014 7:33 pm

Fulham scored a last gasp equaliser to stun Man Utd and earn a vital point in their battle against relegation , the result was not enough to climb off the bottom but it may yet prove to be a decisive result when the end of season draws nearer .

Liverpool beat Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield ...

Sometimes it can be hard work going to an away tie to a club fighting relegation, after a stella performance against a contender for the title. Liverpool have dropped points away to Hull, West Brom and Southampton this season, but I don't see that happening against Fulham.

Lets have it, Fulham rode their luck against Man United, and the fact that they are plum bottom of the league speaks for itself.

Fulham 0 Liverpool 2

Surely Fulham won't beat Liverpool or even pick up a point against them?

I'm getting really fed up with teams failing to do West Ham a favour by beating our relegation rivals.

Fulham 1-3 Liverpool

PS - Come on Suarez! Its about time he ended his goal drought and won some points for my fantasy football team!

Surely no other result possible than a comfortable win for the visitors.

Fulham looked decent at OT at the weekend, but let's be honest - who haven't this season?

Fulham 0-2 LFC.

We go 4-0 up in 20 minutes against the top of the league and yet we are 2-1 down in 60 mins against the bottom...the life of being a Liverpool fan over the last 20+ years :?

Well, bless my cotton socks, Liverpool were a tad lucky but this is a big result. If they had dropped the two points that would have been a blow to them. Seven points separating the top five? What a season this is turning out to be!

Poor old Fulham, it seems their fate has been sealed, still cheer up Cottagers they have some lovely pies in those Championship grounds.

FFS Kolo is beyond useless and I stand by my "why the heck did we pick him up". Quite simply he is not good enough for us.

We were lucky to win that one.

Kolo Toure has made 2 terrible blunders now in 2 away matches.

He is also lucky that he didn't get into trouble for knocking over the referee!

The fact this narrow victory was clawed out when we really were below par
says far more in terms of Liverpool being credible top four material than the
game against the gunners.

We played until the last minute pressing forward in the almost futile belief
something would evolve that would see us leave with 3 points.

Its a trait I begrudgingly found the most admirable component of Uniteds game
under Ferguson ,and yesterday Gerrard gave us a glimpse of the indomitable
spirit that used to be so synonymous with his name.

A clipped ball for Sturridge was shaped by an extremely talented foot ,more
precision and accuracy you would struggle to find if it was chipped by Woods
using a sand wedge.....

Anyway I'm currently on my third portion of 'Humble Pie' thanks to Gerrard's
brilliant performance last night ,so that's enough about him

Suarez was quiet ,but still managed to pull off a Bergkamp flick timed with
the utmost precision and delivered with consummate ease ,something I
would happily pay double the ticket price to witness .

Kolo Toure looks for all the world like someone lost in a building ,pointing to
his badge like he belongs, whilst disbelieving security guards wrestle him
to the ground .... "Honestly I'm supposed to be here"

3 points and a battling performance that could see our confidence rising even
more so than the Spurs and Arsenal games.
