Fulham hire Felix Magath after sacking Rene Meulensteen

Postby Pickleman1967 » Fri Feb 14, 2014 8:47 pm

Hard to know what to say really. Do Fulham think this is the answer to keep them up? I almost felt sorry for Meulensteen, after hearing an interview with him on Five Live. He was dumped out as quickly as he was appointed with no real chance to develop the team or the players he had bought in.

However, an untested manager coming in to save a relegation threatened club in the Prem - what are you expecting?

The Premier League really is getting crazy with the managerial merry go round, I think Fulham should go for broke and sack Magath before May. That would at least give them a record to boast about before they get relegated!

What a pathetic decision, the guy was just starting to get his tactics and his squad just how he wanted it...he was one stupid tackle away from getting two superb results against two top teams, not to mention he finally got rid of the lazy Berbatov and was bringing through youth players..

More proof that some foreign owners haven't a clue what football is about and are more concerned about their bank balance.

I never liked Rene Meulensteen as he publicy talked about one of West Ham's players but this is complete madness!

It doesn't matter who Fulham have as their manager as there is no way they are going to stay up.

What is Felix Magath meant to do with the 12 matches remaining?

He doesn't have any experience in the PL and did an awful job when he went back to Wolfsburg for a 2nd time.

amazed Curbishley wasn't given the nod.

baffling set of decisions by a clueless owner, just as a predicted when he took over.

Alan Curbishley and Ray Wilkins have left Fulham with immediate effect, Press Association Sport understands.
