Arsenal v Swansea

Postby Conner99 » Sun Mar 23, 2014 7:19 pm

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was marking his 1000th game in charge of the Gunners , it was not one he will want to remember ...a 6-0 beating by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge ..it all but ended the hopes Arsenal of winning the Premier League and how easy Chelsea found it against the Gunners will also have concerned him ...he said after the game .."This is my fault,"said Wenger after his 1,000th game in charge of the club."We got a good hiding. You don't prepare all week to experience that."

Swansea lost 3-2 to Everton at Goodison Park . a late goal by captain Ashley Williams was just a consolation for Swansea as they remain just above the danger zone in 15th place , head coach Garry Monk said after the game .."We have to get points on the board as soon as possible and that's a big thing for us, "It's the business end of the season and points are what you're after and what you're hungry for.

Arsenal need to put in a decent display tonight to make up for that horror show at Chelsea.

There is some good news for the Gunners that Gibbs and Oxlade Chamberlain can both play in this game.

I dont think they will win the title now but with Spurs only 6 points behind a victory is a must to stay in top 4.

Arsenal 3-0 Swansea

Oh dear, more woe for the Gooners, apparently a late comedy own goal by Flamini sealed their fate. Fourth place is now going to be a bit of a battle for them, with Everton winning tonight and snapping at their heels.

Good point for Swansea, to keep them clear of the relegation dogfight.

ye another bad result for us ...so the title is now a distant memory and 4th place is no longer guaranteed . It was the same old Arsenal ...could not finish the job after getting back in the game . It is a shame as we could have still been top had Arsene Wenger made sure of a few more signings in January ...again that march madness when we have thrown everything away in 2 or 3 weeks ...
