Yesterday Arsenal swept Bristol off the pitch with 5:0 Cool

It was fun to watch the Ladies toying with the Bristol girls Twisted Evil
I think Bristol would have done better
if they didn't have the worst psycho-maniac coach I have ever seen.
He yelled at them through the whole game:
'Get up!' 'Squeeze it!' 'Wait!' 'Wait !!!'
I swear, if he was my coach I'd run up to him and slap him!
Here comes Kelly Smith with the ball, full speed,
the Bristol defender is trying to do anything she can
and her coach yells in her ear: 'Take control !!!'
Buhahaha! Good luck! Twisted Evil

Goal scorers:
Ludlow 44'
Smith (pen) 60'
Sanderson 70'
Asante 72'
Grant 89'

Well done, Ladies! Cool

im hoping ludlow will appreciate all the welsh people coming to support her!

when she came off near the end of the match i shouted 'well played jayne, doing it for wales!!!!' and she looked up and gave me a smile...... glad i amused!!

and kelly was really nice as always, im just waiting for her to tell me to [beep!] off and stop talking to her... but she never does, she's always really lovely Very Happy

Yes, she stopped for a chat with fans after the game, very nice of her,
concidering that she was soaking wet Twisted Evil

How did you like the game Katie?
Have you also noticed that the Arsenal Ladies looked enormously big comparing to the Bristol players? Laughing
Maybe it's the colour of their jerseys, or the size of the numbers on them, or they are just taller,
but I had to laugh cos it looked like the Arsenal were playing children Shocked Mr. Green
And did you see Kelly argueing with the ref where Bristol should kick the ball off from
and then throwing the ball over the opponent's head? Twisted Evil
She cracks me up Mr. Green Naughty! Naughty girl! Twisted Evil Wink

i was behind the dug out on the back row trying to avoid the wind and rain!

Loved Kellys naughtiness, throwing the ball over the girls head, then trying to get her booked during the free kick and did you see her when she got called up for a free kick ans sneakily back heeled the ball away, love it!

'Arsenal’s former Birmingham City full back Alex Scott
returns to her old stamping ground with the Gunners on Sunday
– but, devastatingly for the England international,
she will be only a spectator at The FA Nationwide Women’s Premier League match.' Sad

hiya!!

just got back about 10pm!

got lost on the way, but managed to get there in the nick of time!!
i had all the welsh girls with me, accompianied by a welsh flag in honour of jayne ludlow! the match started and we were all shouting 'come on jayne, do it for wales' etc etc and she laughed (hopefully appreciating it!)

the first half was cracking, loved it! 6 goals before half time, we were hoping it'd go into double figures but no such joy im afraid!

oh and at half time i went to the toilet and a random person came up and said hi and said she'd seen me on this forum!!!! fame at last!! Laughing

anyway, the second half was somewhat boring, birmingham seemed to improve their game, and fair play to them, never gave up. altho Arsenal did seem to step off the pedal.

faye, ludlow, anita, lianne, yanks, ciara and kempy had really good games. im afraid to say that kelly didn't have the best game by her standards and went off mid-way through the second half (i think she was a bit injured tho, seemed to be holding ice to her leg)

and then we went for a pub dinner cos none of us had eaten all day due to the lateness of our arrival! then we got in the mini bus and headed back to sunny swansea with all the other girls singing pro-welsh/anti-english songs (i was the only english girl!!!)

they all had a fab time on their first trip to see womens footy and wanna come back for more!!

on a hilarious note, 2 of the footy boys came with us cos one of them was driving the minibus. and they were sat by the tea and coffee in the bar after.... when someone came over.... jono was like 'd'ya want tea? no? coffee? no? hot chocolate? no?" and then said "you really need to take in fluids after a match you know....."

.......not realising it was the england captain he was talking to!! can't believe he was trying to give faye advice on fluid intake!!! haha he felt like a right nob when i told him who she was Laughing

Thanx for the report Katie, I am sure it was a helluva good game,
I wish I was there, but couldn't make it this time.

Don't worry about Kelly, maybe she had something on her mind
that we don't know of, and that made her spread the bad vibrations Wink

Sounds like your mate was hitting on Faye Laughing
Any luck? Twisted Evil Wink
