Becuase thats all they care about the press,commentators etc they will always manage to mention ethier Chelsea,David Beckham or Wayne Ronney without fail no matter what game its insulting to other teams and countries like on Youre on Sky Soprts they never stop slating the SPL fair enough it is not as good as your presouis Premeiership but they're is no need to do it on national television espically when the pundits are suppose "neutral" LMAO that is a great joke that is like saying Celtic will win the Champions leauge in the next three years.

I´ll support England, because they´ll win the World Cup. I love the country, I love their football, they have a great team, it´s perfectly!

We Germans have a shite team, which is going to be knocked out after the 1st round... Embarassed

I actually agree with that, its so annoying on Sky sports if an England game is coming up, they have to report on every training session and just never stop talking about it. You probably dont notice it as much in England but its so annoying when youre not from the country

Well, as a German, I'll support my team. But I respect any good team like France, the Netherlands or, of course, England.

I cant sort of see where your coming from, but Scottish football isnt important - which is why they go on about the English premiership so much. And you are right - it is indeed precious Wink

Im only winding you up - as a welsh man I am fully aware of the bias, but I think you are making a bigger deal of it than it needs to be. You come across as being anti England yourself sometimes however. Is this because of what you said above?

I agree 100% with those! Its well annoying watching the commentators go on and on about England this, Rooney that, Chelsea everything! And in spanish football Celtic7 is exactly correct, all they do talk about is English football lol

Yes thats just about the olny reason and i proably am a bit anti English but there are a lot of Scots that feel that way and i mean a lot

Jumping back to the original question:

I'll be supporting Australia! Woohoo!!

It is the first time in my lifetime that we have made it. I have always followed Ireland and/or Holland at other World Cups. Ireland because I have family history from there. Holland because of their impact on world football - I love the concept of total football and the history of Ajax in producing juniors. Anyone who produces young football talent gets my vote!

But this time is different! I get to support my team!! Go the Socceroos!!

Hey goboggo, thanks for posting your comments....I think most of us here are pleased to see the Socceroos going to Germany. And Holland is too one of my favorites for basically the same reason you make (and a few more...).

I kinda put the competing teams in four categories:

1. The team I really really support: Sweden, since I'm from Sweden.

2. The teams I like:
England (growing up with english football on the tv you develop some kind of emotional attachment)
South Korea (I really like their high speed football)
Brazil (because they are quite brilliant)
Japan, Australia and USA because they're cool underdogs

3. The teams I don't have an oppinion about
Poland is a typical entry here.

4. The teams I really don't like.
All of the teams with players that fall over as soon as they enter the penalty box end up here.

It's no doubt that I do in England side. I like their kits , players , their Premier League ,and ATTACKING.
I am a fan of Micheal Owen. Although he is not in his best during this season, I do believe Michael Owen will do a good job. Just as 1998 World Cup the media named him as Wonder Boy. Hurry on my jersus.

There are many others in my favorite lists ,which is less important than England, France with Zidane but Pires not selected is unfortunate for this team.South Korea is famous for their sticked huge fans and high speed , Never say failured is plus.
