Celtic have issued Keane wages warning

Celtic chairman Brian Quinn has insisted midfielder Roy Keane will have to accept a substantial cut in wages if he wants to join the SPL leaders.
The 34-year-old, a free agent after leaving Manchester United on Friday, has attracted early interest from Wigan, Bolton and Portsmouth.

Keane has previously said he would like to end his career at Celtic, but at United he earned about £90,000 a week.

No way celtic could afford that amount. I don't think Celtic will get him, but i think they should, he is a matchwinning player, but would Strachan want to disrupt the team, they are on a high at the moment.

I don't think wages will be an issue for Keane. I think he will happily take a wage slash as he must realise NO team is going to pay him that much a week to see out his career. The main teams in line to sign Keane are Celtic, Portsmouth, Wigan and Man City. Who of them have enough money to pay him that much?

Suppose, in that case he's definitely off to Celtic. He said it himself, he can't stomach another Premiership club, and he's always wanted to finish his career at Celtic. Don't know if Strachan will buy him, and if he does, will it disrupt the team?

I dont think it will, I think he would fit straight in. He is a top class professional, and would be a rock in the Scottish premiership.

I wonder if he would take over captaincy? Probably not straight away, but definitely after a few months. Anyone know how many years he is playing for?

Is this true or false : I heard from a friend that Brew said that he will play on for another few more years. Fantastic if its true Laughing
