AC Milan defender Jaap Stam has warned his team-mates not to underestimate Champions League rivals PSV Eindhoven.
Stam, who is fighting to be fit for the semi-final first leg, played for the Dutch champions for two years until he left for Manchester United until 1996.

"I know them well," said Stam. "They are very fit, tactically rigorous and they really want to play a joke on us.

"If this team has been unbeaten in the Champions League since 18 December, it means they have quality and talent."

PSV will also go into the semi-final with the Dutch domestic title already under their belt - with five games remaining.

Milan, meanwhile, are vying with Juventus for the Serie A title and will be without suspended defender Alessandro Nesta against PSV.

Fellow defender Stam is desperate to recover from the muscular injury he picked up against Parma at the weekend.

"I want and I have to play," he added. "Not only because of Nesta's absence but also because I really want to be on the pitch against PSV."
