I don't have an antenna at the back. Got a laptop , they don't have em.

It says the speed is excellent or good depending on how it's going that day.

Before you get new memory, it might be a good idea to defragment your pc first (basically it means moving files in order).

Go to the start menu -> accesories -> system tools -> Disk Defragmenter

Also, try to scan for spyware on your pc. These little things run in the background and might be the cause of your slow PC.

I think it's down to the memory space , so does anyone know how to get more memory?

Does anyone here know how to burn a disc image using Daemon Tools Pro?

There is a game that I want to put on a disc, but I am not familiar with Daemon.

Get PoweriSO and mount it instead of putting it on an actual disc. Alot easier.

I can mount it and run it but every time I try to play the game it says please insert disc.

copy the image file from the download folder into the folder for the game in your C Drive, know what I mean? Like with my FM08 I copied the image file from my FM08 download folder ----> C Drive -----> Program Files -----> Sports Interactive ----> Football Manager 08 ------> Paste -----> Yes, replace other file.

Should work.

When you open the defragmenter you should see a list of drives (assuming you have more than one hard drive or you have partitioned your hard drive) in your PC.

Select all the hard drives to defragment and there's a button at the bottom there that says 'Defragment'.

Let it run for a while and run your Defragmenter when you are not using the PC. It doesnt work running in the background while you're working on your PC.

Hmm Confused

Never had something like that before I'm afraid. Maybe you will get better answers when O Dogg comes on here.

It is more than likely to be something on your PC causing it. Best thing to do is boot your PC up in Safe Mode with Networking. This will stop any other software booting on your PC apart from vital windows files, and also the networking parts which allow your PC to access internet. It will look exactly like SAFEMODE so don't be alarmed when you see all the icons in terrible resolution. Try your internet in safemode with networking to see if it is faster. If it is, then the problem is definately caused by 3rd party software.

When booting your system, as soon as the first (POST) screen appears showing your memory and hardware information, start pressing 'F8.' You will get a menu up with loads of options - here is a screenshot:

Select Safe Mode with Networking, then press enter. Press enter again on the Operating System menu, which should just be Windows XP if that is what your running....then let it boot. Log in as Administrator, and then try your internet.

Good luck!

O Dogg, sorry to be a continual gnat. I did what you said, ran safe mode etc. I got a bit puzzled though when I logged in as admin. What was i suppose to do there, carry on using the computer as usual? Now i'm back on normal mode.

Any mini 3.5mm stereo plug to dual RCA plug cable should do you fine.

The 3.5 mm is the standard plug you'll find on any PC/Laptop audio port - the RCA plugs are usually coloured red and white - those go into the audio-in ports on the TV.

Of course I'm assuming the TV has an RCA audio-in ports - since I don't know which model you're referring to I can't really be sure.

Whilst in Safe Mode with Networking, you should attempt some downloads or speeds tests to see if your speed is what it should be. If so, then it is definately some software on your PC which starts up when Windows is booted in normal mode that is causing your slow speeds.

We could try identifying then what programs are running on startup.
