I'd love to get into goalkeeping - but don't have any of the kit. Any advice on what to get (or try and wangle off someone)? Sells and Selsport are usually good - any tips?
And how do I find someone willing to help me learn? |

In your area do you have not have any football teams who offer coaching? Goalie Gloves good start. Quality important, size also important. Goalie trousers with good padding |

I used to be a keeper before i went into coaching.
Sells gloves are brilliant. Get fingersaves, if not them look for the round fingered gloves. They offer good protection as well. Padded pants and shorts are essential. Make sure they are padded as obviously they offer much more protection to your legs when diving on harder surfaces. Cap. I always had a cap in my kit bag. If the sun is out there is nothing worse than going for a cross and losing the ball 'cos of the sun. |
