Hi,
I would like to progress onto my Level 2 in June, but also wish to do my Goalkeeping Level 1 and was wondering which to do first? Also, if I wish to coach for a professional club how could I go about it? I coach in the communtiy for Port Vale and Crewe Alexandra and have only been coaching for around 6 months at grassroots, so am extremely new to it, but love it! My first post on here so please be nice! manutdlad66 |

Do them both whenever you can. GK L1 is less sought after, although that does mean less people have it. If you pass L2 then you can move straight onto GK L2 without the L1.
Obviously opportunities differ and people get various chances, but in general terms academies(mainly prem) require L3 as a minimum and they sometimes look for successful grassroots experience. As you can imagine it is also good to have your name known by those who will employ. Even when in an academy it isn't full-time and thus the money isn't enough, so you need to be employed in another career too. |
