So John Heitinga is going to Athletico Madrid..... What do you think ?
Having seen players swopping without exactly having success, do you think Heitinga will grow with this transfer ?

I think it could be good for both the player and the club. But Atletico need to make sure they don't slip out of the top 4.

They need a better manager in my opinion. With a better manager they have the players to do really well.

Are you trying to imply Rafa Benitez isn't a good manager?

He's won two la liga titles. Anyway, i've heard he's Barca number 1 target - haven't heard Atletico ant him as well.

I think hes trying to say that he would be a good manager for Athletico

I can see Jose Mourinho fancying his chances with Atletico even though its more likely he will Manage one of the top euro teams.

i agree, i think jose mourinho would relish the challenge of trying to take athletico to that next level as they have the players to make the step

Rafa going to Atletico would be a step below for him, in my opinion.
But I think Heitinga is a good defender, it'll be good for Atleti.

No he won't. He'll sign a cushy top club job contract with a side already having top players there, and life easy.

As for Heitinga, he was inevitably going to move. Is this deal done or just a rumour though?

Ajax fans seem to speak very highly indeed of this man.
