Afan Lido and Newi Cefn Druids have been relegated from the Welsh Premier after suffering defeats on the final Saturday of the season.

Lido finished bottom after a 2-1 loss at Welshpool, and a 3-0 defeat at Rhyl also consigned the Druids to the drop.

But the Druids could be saved if no club qualifies for promotion from the south Wales feeder league.

The situation could also change if Lido win their appeal against the three docked league points.

The club was punished earlier this month for fielding an ineligible player in Lido's 4-0 win over Airbus UK in March.

If the Football Association of Wales re-awards them the three points, Lido will finish outside the relegation places.

They will be two points above the Druids and level with Airbus, but with a superior goal difference.

Lee Hunt was the Druids' tormentor on the final day of the season as he struck a first-half hat-trick for second-place Rhyl.

A 70th minute Sascha Walters goal gave Lido hope of a comeback against Welshpool, but strikes from Geraint Windsor and Craig Wilkinson proved enough for the mid-Wales side to win.

Welshpool had Glen Evans sent off, while Lido's Chris Piper was also given his marching orders.

Caersws beat Airbus thanks to goals from Geraint Lewis, Graham Evans and Andy Marfell.

Champions TNS ended their magnificent season by conceding two late goals for a 2-2 draw at Port Talbot .

Third-place Bangor City went down to a Leyton Maxwell effort at home to Carmarthen Town.

Llanelli's superb turnaround from relegation favourites continued as they won 3-1 away at Connah's Quay Nomads to secure another season in the national league.

Haverfordwest's 1-1 draw at home to Caernarfon was enough to take fourth place ahead of Caersws. Lee Waters grabbed a crucial 77th minute equaliser.

Cwmbran's match with Aberystwyth Town was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

NEWI Cefn Druids will almost certainly retain their Welsh Premier status as only one side (Grange Quins) looks like being promoted from the feeder leagues.
