Rafa Benitez rules out Real Madrid move |
|
Real Madrid sacked coach Wanderley Luxemburgo who was Real's fifth coach in the space of two and a half years. The decision has created more speculation that Real will turn to the Premiership to find his replacement. Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger were reportedly at the top of Real's wish-list for a new manager, along with Reds boss Benitez.
But Rafa said today: "I am happy at Liverpool, I am Liverpool's manager and I have a job to do here." "I have said this in the past and now I have an important game in the Champions League against Chelsea (on Tuesday) to think about and that is all that is on my mind." "I certainly will not allow this speculation to disrupt my preparation for the game, but as I say, I am happy here at this club." Who do you think will replace Luxemburgo? Rafa would be mad to leave a club where he has a lot of control and is given licence to build a team over a few seasons as opposed to the results-now attitude of Real Madrid.
