Sir Don Bradman ...... averages 99.94 . The second best average of all time is 60.97 .

Bradman is statistically more superior to the second best batsman ever than any other sportsman in their respective field .

He played 70 Tests . More than enough to have a legitimate average . And based on averages , he was 66% better than the next best batsman in history .

Yeh i know but still the amount of games a player plays these days, they are bound to have a bigger slump than Bradman, well yeah ok then true he is "arguably" the best cricketer ever... for now! Ian Bell is on the rise Smile

Sir Donald George Bradman for me aswell. The guys statistics are very very good. Whats his exact average around 100 i thought.

I think its very hard to tell in Cricket though whos the best because he was a batsman at the time he played the Bowlers could of been poor in comparison to the batsman. im nit sure who he played against but he could of played alot of games against the poorer nations where scoring 100's and 50's are alot easier.

For example Muttiah Muralitharan no one can doubt hes an excellent spin bowler, but he has played most of his test against poorer nations like Bangladesh where their batsman are not very good and its alot easier to take wickets.

Of Course players like Shane Warne and Brian Lara deserve a mention. Id say Brian Lara was the best player ive seen though.
